I spent the morning being creative and have posted some photos on my website (as soon as I get paid on Friday, I'll officially join here and get a portfolio).

I'd love some comments! I know there are a lot of photos, so I don't expect anyone to comment on all of them, but I would like to know what folks think.

Thanks in advance :).

Red Sprials is excellent
A Bright Idea is good
Stonehenge is amusing..

Those were the three that really caught my eye, so those are the ones I'll critique.

Now in depth:

Red Spirals has exciting composition, there aren't any noticible hotspots, the colours are wonderful and it's just all around interesting.

A Bright Idea is good because of the purple marble/stone in the middle and the reflections that are carried throughout. A darker background might have served this shot well. Also the reflection is flawed on the top left marble. Those are the only reasons why its not excellent.

Stonehenge is a funny concept, but it's cut off at the top. Also, the reflections and the background detract from the photo. Again, maybe a darker background would have helped.

Hope this helps!

Matt,

Thank you very much! Red Spirals is my favorite of the bunch as well. Every so often you get a good one like that...i'm shooting for more often than not LOL.

I agree with you about Stonehenge. I debated ditching all of those (that was the only passably good one), but thought the idea was nifty.

Bright Ideas was a fluke...I wasn't aiming for the reflection, but found it when I transfered the photo to the computer.

Thanks again for your comments. I really appreciate them!
