First trip further south than the U.S. in 13 years. Going to Jibacoa, Cuba. Leave for Toronto today. Plan to take photos and snorkel my little head off. Wish I could use the digital underwater, but can't afford the underwater casing . Taking an underwater disposable, though.

William Worthy isn't worthy to enter our door
Went down to Cuba, he's not American anymore
But somehow it is strange to hear the State Department say
You are living in the free world, in the free world you must stay

Cuba is beautiful undoubtedly. I never got tired of floating in ocean water that was warmer than my own bath.

P.S. Don't swim with the dolphins. Albeit fun, but seriously disgusting. They don't have regulations for things like that...I couldn't get the stank outta my hair for days.

P.P.S. Bring back cigars! $3CND gets you a primo Monte Cristo.

You can go if you go via Canada. Just don't expect a warm reception from our Government when you return. Oh yeah, they'll prolly fine you too.

Hey nsbca7 with an attitude like that
"You lucky %#@*&^%^&^%#@! Our facist government won't let us go. Guess they think we might catch something."

No I don't feel that way about our country, just the small minded people that wrap up in the flag and yell "Free" without a clue as to what the word means. I sometimes wonder if any of the people of this country who seem to themselves so righteous when they tell other US citizens to go to France every time they disagree with their political point of view have ever even taken the time to read this nationĂ¢€™s Constitution and understand what all it entails.

Well I have read it and I completely understand it. And I stand for Love our country or leave it. People are dying so that you have the right to voice your opinions. Try that in Cuba. My relatives lost everyting when Castro took over.

That's just what I'd like to tell the folks trying to reshape this country into a corporate theocracy.

So basically what you are saying is People are dying so that you have the right to voice your opinions, but if you do choose to exercise that right then you should leave.

No, I don't think you completely understand much about what this
country was founded on.

My wife and I are leaving in three weeks for Varadero. Hope to be able to spend some quality time with the camera in Old Havana. Bringing limited camera equipment cuz the in-room safes aren't all that big.
