ok, i am a little confused. I have become a member of deviant art. I have submitted 2 photos, so far so good.
can someone please tell me how to move around in it. How do i look at my photos on the screen? how do i know what my details are so i can get you guys to look and comment?

When you're logged in your username will be on the top along with any comments, friend deviants, journal entries etc. You can click on your username it'll take you to your DA profile. It will list your recent deviations and have a link to your deviant gallery. You can click on the gallery and it will show all your deviations. When you click on the thumbnail it will bring up the image in full. Cut and paste the url, which will be something like //www.deviantart.com/view/123243242 (not a real url btw) and put them in a forum here if you want to show them here.

If there are specific things you want to do and cant work out then just ask. Additionally you can read the DA help faq.

thanks! I have worked out how to see my submissions. Will work on the rest
my photos are in scraps. Is that the right place?

what's your username? Your page is username.deviantart.com.
As long as you're logged in, you can get to your page by clicking on your username located under the Header Logo at the top right of any page on the site.

From your page you have your statistics on the top left which tell you when you joined, if you're online, etc. On the top right you have the statistics telling your status, number of deviations, comments, etc.

Along the top next to your username you have something that looks like this:

Deviant `utro has 641 message centre items ( 484D, 14H, 47M, 73C, 11F, 9J, 3N ) | Logout

484D is the number of deviations from fellow deviants on your watchlist.
14H is the number of new Hot News articles. 47M is the number of new messages you have. 73c is the number of new comments. 11F is the number of new favorites. And 3N is the number of new notes.

If you scroll down you have your featured deviation, which you can pick from your uploaded deviations under Profile>User Page Display (located on the top right under the search box.

Under that should be your recent deviations. If you click on the image, or the title, it should take you to a small view of that deviation with your description and comments. You can click on the image to enlarge and see the full view.

If you have anymore questions, let me know. I've been a member there since 2001.

Little word of advice...if you want to get comments, comment on others. If you post an image in the forum for comments, make sure you do it in the Deviation Thumbshare section. Otherwise, people get pissy.

thanks it is alot to take in. Yes i absolutely want comments good or bad. That is the only way i am going to improve.

i think i just commented on your page. I've never used scraps. My understanding is that they're there for works in progress. It's kind of a new thing and I always stick with the old. But for your experiment shots, that's probably the place for them. It's really up to you.

When you write a message under where you can type click on the Automatically parse URLs: and the link will be clickable.
