hey everyone... we had 7 guys last time we had a GTG. Awesome time. I personally met several new people and learned a thing or two while I was there. Lets do it again!

Suggestions are open. where to go what to shoot. Lets do something outside. Possibly an on location somewhere other than downtown PGH. maybe a 2 or maximum 3 hour journey but has to be cool. Idaes anyone? lets start them up. Ill post back shortly with mine.

BTW its getting close to Spring so possibly an overnighter/camping photog' weekend could also be in order.

Hey guys! I'm new, and got roped in through FM :-) thanks to Justin. Me and my bunch of photographer-friends go to school at Carnegie Mellon.

Has a time/place been decided?

If you guys want to do Tara sometime this summer, this is where I keep my boat (next to Tara at the RC's Marina at Shenango Lake). We could make a boating day of it, and/or a camping trip of it, too!

Yup! There's a nice campground on the north side of the lake. I've camped up there a few times. There are a few spots where I can pull the boat up on the shore right near the site, too.

Do I even need to reply? You guys know that I'll be there...10-20 minutes late as usual. Anyday works for me, since I finally have a normal work schedule. Except next weekend b/c I'm going winter camping down in the Green Ridge Mountains.

I need to put an exhaust on my car - come on over and take pics of it.
I am learning to edit/use RAW files...come help me.
I will be trying to play with flash in my 'studio' in a bit. bring a hot shoe adapter and play too.

My model shoot (fancy term there!) has been postponed till the morrow due to the exceedinly nice weather (sarcasm intended)

heh...All are very tempting, but I think I'm just going to do what I'm best at and that is to sit here being bored.

For motivation..here are some pics from last year's parade. I was there to get parralel lines challenge shots, so I got very few of the parade or partiers.

Shot over near Blvd of the Allies i think..odd route last year. And of course, market square revelers.

this sucks...It's so cold out I don't feel like doing anything.

go to canonusa.com and DL the software updates for the rebel - 5.0 and DPP 1.5...then you have new software to play with. You even get a 'movie task'...no i have no idea. but it'll kill 30 minutes. BEWARE: the Viewer update is some 37Mb!

Prof_fate: do you have a notebook? Even if you don't, next time we go out somewhere, I can bring mine and show you my RAW workflow.

The parade sounds fun. I'll bring more than one lens this time, I promise.
