I renewed my membership today and my profile says now Membership Expires: Nov. 30, 1999, is this a bug?

You see, that's what's happening to me!
I got a gift certificate from rex07734, used it sunday, and today it showed up as if it was expired!
Might be a glitch of some sort.

I don't think it's the same scuds, my "membership expires" warning dissapeared and I also got the receipt by mail so I think the payment worked, just the date on my profile is a few years back...

LOL, sounds like we've got a family of bugs in the registration system. I'm sure D&L will iron it out. Might require steam tho, LOL.

I do think it's the same cz, it no only happened to me, but to some other person (I can't recall his username now) that also got a gift certificate for the membership, from somebody else.

Scuds it was nidan. I also bought his membership part of the agreement in the other thread if yours got bought by people donating. His also expired the day after I bought it. It must be a bug in the system. I am sure they will figure it out soon.

mine whas also a gift certificate, but to me I think it worked because I recived the receipt by mail and also my "membership expires" is dissapeared now from the front page. So I think the process worked it's just some glitch in showing the new expiration date. But perhaps I should expect mine to expire also, I don't know, for now everything looks ok except the expiration date.

I do seem to recall that a similar circumstance was reported some time ago, but I don't know at all what the issue was. I am quite sure that D&L will get to the bottom of it. Since three users are all having problems with memberships bought with gift certificates, I strongly suspect that's where the bug lives.

hehe, just someone fix it, I don't wanna be immortal it would be to boreing and I don't wanna end up grey like scuds now that I finally have a print that sells (I hope that doesn't get deleted and all my earnings!!!), oh and ofcourse scuds has priority, someone should give him some color first :)

Most everyone anyway. I noticed that nidan is not back on as a member yet. Good job at getting it fixed so quickly though.

thanks langdon for the quick act, the bug as we observed above must be hiding soewhere in the paypal gift thing somewere, I hope you catch and kill the bastard! :)
