I know there's been some negative discussion about istockphoto lately, but I wanted to see what the consensus around here was about istockpro. I was just accepted to join as a submitting photographer, but before I give away the farm, is this a worthwhile thing to do?
Advice? Warnings? General comments? Cocktail recipes?

I've asked Lise Gagné what she thinks about the Pro version of Istock and she told me that, like istock, it's all a question of numbers. The more stuff you have up, the more you'll sell.
How long did it take you to get an answer from them after you applied?

Not long....I think I submitted it on Wednesday or Thursday of last week...much faster than I was expecting.

Depends what you expect. It's changed since I joined iStockPro - gone pink, although I haven't delved into it yet so i do not know if the changes are purely cosmetic or if they have fixed some of the problems they had in the first place.
There was no batch uploads, or batch anything which (when you have 300+ images) becomes a pain to alter prices names, keywords or anything really.
Is much better than istockphoto for the photographer - but the main problem is that the clients just uses the istockphoto site - and why wouldn't they when they are $1 a photo...so you have a conflict of competition.
I have sold a few but I don't bother updating my folio anymore.
