I live in Virginia where personalized licence plates are cheap. I am in the market for new ones. Both PHOTO and DPCBAM are available. Which one to choose...? Any thoughts?

DPCBAM is more personal, although may not be understandable to people that dont know about DPC. I'd go for PHOTO :)

Did you try JACKORULZ? If that one is taken, go with PHOTO. That would be pretty neat. DPCBAM will not mean a thing for 99.9999% of people.

If they give you seven characters you might try for GR8FOTO (sorry for stealing someone's username!) or GR8PICS.
I thought you were going to suggest a challenge of photographich an interesting personallized plate...I've seen a bunch in the last few days, including one from (I guess) a baker: CAKEMD

I'd go with PHOTO. It is more encompassing of who you are.
My ID on one of the Instant Message services is FOTOLADIE...cuz that is what the nurses called me when I did the newborn portraits at the hospital ;P
