Would someone please make a suggestion as to how I can remove the brown portion of the top left petal. Any direction would be great.
Thanks

I'm no photoshop expert by anymeans but I always make a copy first then work on that. I would try the clone tool from an area close to the one you want to change.

Careful cloning could work, but is it worth the effort? A good opportunity to learn some photo editing skills but if you're after a perfect flower why not find one and photograph it.

That is a bud behind the petal. Go back tomorow. It should be open.

You can use the clone tool to remove it. First select an large area around it but right along the edge between it and the flower. Then use the clone tool with a soft edged brush to clone in some other background in to that area.

Like this.

That look great. I was using the yellow part of the flower and it would not look right. Removing it with the background is much better.

Another question not related to the flower. If you have a portrait of someone and there is a double chin, How would you remove the skin under the chin? I would post the photo but she might get very mad.

If you can reshoot it use a slightly higher angle. Pay close attention to what you see in the viewfinder, if you go too high then you can create a problem with a long looking nose and forehead.
