I had been to the beach yesterday and took some photos.
Critique and comments are most welcomed.
To the photos
Hope you like 'em.
Photos taken at Meridian Beach, Haifa, Israel this friday with my camera.
Did some post-processing on most of them in photoshop.
If anyone wants prints, just ask :)

Greetings,
I have to agree, The first shot, with the sand underwater is the best, truly a great shot!

| I think the red color in some of these shots is a bit too saturated, looks a bit fake... |

wow! thanks for all the comments, didn't expect to get so many replies.
K Pugh: the second shot went through color inversion of the skies.
eugene: Indeed, but the reds were very strong at this sunset time, and I used the burn tool a few times so it enhanced them even more. I kinda like the red color in sunset shots so I didn't bother desaturating those.

Hey Alex, how are you doing? You have been pretty quiet lately :-)
Those really are great photos.
I agree with K_Pugh. The second one looks sureal. It's beautiful!
My favorite is the 3rd one. Reminds me of the Acadia beach in Herzeliya actualy.
I love the over-saturated red in those. I find it to give a lovely contrast to the sky.
The first one is also great. Those curves are nice and the reflection of that huge building in the peacful water is just wonderful.
I don't like the grain in the 4th picture. I find it quite annoying I'm afraid... Would love to see the same one a bit neat-imaged. Just a bit.
And the last one looks too dark on my screen.
Do you think it's a hint for me to replace my monitor? :-(
Anyway, great photos!

I wasn't quiet - I was busy! :-)
I added the grain in the 4th picture through photoshop, my camera isn't THAT bad.. hehe
What monitor do you have ? how old ? |

Been busy taking pictures I hope?
I'm glad to hear that grain is not on the original photo. not asking why you added that. I know playing with some filters can be fun, and others not always liking the results. :-)
My monitor? LG flatron 19", less then 2y/o. But it looks like the ahhh... how's that called? "menorat masach" ? Gonna die on me.
(could never write hebrew here ;-)

Oh.
It's too young to die!
But if it does, get yourself a thin monitor, they rock!
I spent 3,000 NIS back when they weren't popular and I'm so glad I did that.
Saves a lot of space and the eyes don't hurt at the end of the day.
And no, been busy with studying (as always), but this friday I left everything and went out to shoot some, as you can see :)

gibun - those are really awsome pics!!
Alex - yes it is too young to die. I really hope I can fix it before I need to buy a new one. I'm very short on moeny right now and I'm about to get my D70 (nikon) soon so I will need the money for lens and stuff ;-)
Leaving everything and go to take some photos is a great thing. You should do that more often! You have lot's of amazing places not too far from you where you can shoot.
At least once a month I leave everything and drive down to Eilat. That's my therapy. I go early in the morning and get back at night the same day. I have a company car so I don't have to pay for gas :-) It is so relaxing.
I was there last Sunday. After the Pink challenge is over, I might put some pics up in the forum.
