| i have been a few times. we actually stayed on st. john, but rented boats and took day trips to jost van dyke. since they were shorter trips, i am not as familiar with jost, but i can say it is beautiful! it is very small and sparsely populated--a very laid back atmosphere. if you have to fly in to st. thomas (which i assume you will) you will see what i mean. st. thomas is definitely the tourist island of the bunch. interestingly, i thought st. john was simple and laid back until i went to jost...i'm not even certain they allow shoes there. ;) so, you should definitely go to foxy's, and get a painkiller...and also the soggy dollar bar for well, a painkiller. ;) if you get the opportunity, you should try and take a day trip to st. john, stopping at the indians and the caves for snorkling/scuba along the way. if you are interested, i can give you many more details about that island. have fun--you will love the virgin islands! |
