I like the shot. The grass is a bit distracting. If you clone it out it would be better.

I would love to see the dogs face. There's just enough of it showing that I can tell it's a great face, but I can see mostly the back of his head (my wife taught me that all dogs are "he" and all cats are "she", so I go with it)
So even with the distracting grass gone, I'd really like to see more face. Do you have more of the same shoot to show us?
Oh, what about a lizard's POV? Looking up at the dog from low? It would be hard to get, but really great (at least in my head).
How's that for input?

Here's our little Terminator. She's a small shepard (I think) mix. About 40 pounds.
These are unedited, except to resize & compress. There was no way for me to get a different perspective. She would never have stayed still that long, and really doesn't like to be photographed.
Interestingly, I like the effect of the "grass" (as you can see, it's actually a flower). I think it adds depth to the shot. Oh well... As the saying goes, everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if you're wrong. :P
