I've just launched a new website to display my photos from our local skate park. It allows all the kids to see the photos easily.

I'd love some feedback on the site and the photos if anyone has the time and inclination.

Cheers.

Kieran.

Thanks deapee and Bran. Much appreciated. And yes Bran the feedback I've had from the kids so far has been really positive. I just launched it last night so I'm just beginning to get feedback.

what lens you using, they look great!

Thanks Mark. I use the Rebels Kit Lens and the EF 55-200. On some of the shots I use photoshop to exagerate/create the shallow depth of field.

Excellent work, both on the layout of the website and the photos. If you haven't done so already, I would get releases and start submitting some of these to magazines.

Well done, Kieran! Website and photos are just fantastic!
I like the look of the site, the consistent layout and the options re either slideshow or manual advancing. The rating is a clever idea, too.
I'd hire you any day!

Thanks Riggs. :)

Thanks cbeller. I was wondering if I should offer a couple to some magazines. I'll take your advice on board and will probably give a couple a go. I think I should be able to get releases as most of the kids would love to appear in magazine or too. :)

Thanks beetle. I really appreciate the vote of confidence. :)

Just giving ths thread a bump.....for anybody else who is interested in Skate and Bike action photography.....and to try and elicit a bit more feedback. (Suggestions, comments, opinions, criticisms, personal experiences?)
Cheers.

You have some sweet shots there Kieran. The only suggestions I can think of would be to try some different angles--up high looking down, down low looking up, etc. Maybe try some real close shots too. Good stuff!

Thanks Mick. I have done a few shots where I'm lying on the jumps and the kids are jumping over me. I haven't processed or uploaded them yet. Its interesting that you should mention this though as I was just pondering this idea today. I've decided to set myself a goal of coming up with a couple of novel positions to take photos from. Thanks for the feedback.
