I went down to the beach to test my new Nikkor 80-300mm lens, but as I set up I saw the QEII leaving the harbour. The shots are not spectacular but it did give me the opportunity to test the new lens.
1. 300mm
2. 180mm
3. 80mm
4 & 5. Playing with DoF
6. 300mm with 2 x Kenco teleconverter (effectively 600mm)

Hey cool, it was here not long ago. It is kind of fun to see it moving around the world. With luck maybe other can grab a photo of it when it visits their port.
Here is a photo I got when it was here in Hawaii.
That was shot from our house using a 70-300mm lens on the 20D |

@Mike - still nice shots, I like qe203. The shots work for me using the QEII as a backdrop, sort of the way I used the queen mary here:
@Scott, thanks for the "closeup" of the ship. I've never seen it. |
