Email/ PM response from photographer to Kavey:
Thank you very much for commenting. You know, I didn't even think of changing it to portrait - I'll have to go try that out.

Thanks again - much appreciated!

I cannot tell you how nice this was to receive :) I am STILL smiling about it, HOURS after first reading it, and replying to it.

(And that goes for all the other thank you notes some of you have sent regarding my comments too).

So I'd just like to say - if a comment that I make strikes you as useful, or makes you smile, or asks a question about your photograph that you are willing to answer - PLEASE do contact me.

It really makes me feel that it's worth all the time spent commenting on all the photos.

I know that many of my comments will not be useful and that's OK. But it really is feedback like this, to say that _some_ of my comments are, that makes it feel GOOD to be here.

Whilst I am at it, I'd like to say a big thank you for the 12 comments so far on my entry to Childhood. I really appreciate the thought put into them, every single one... When I know who they are from, I'll respond. Some are signed, but I don't want anyone to feel I am contacting them out of turn, so I will wait :)

Thank you

:)

Kavey... Haven't gotten your comment yet this week, but I really appreciated your comment on my "More than meets the eye" photo last week. I also comment on all the photos and sign them with something like "and good luck in the challenge", or "Good luck in the challenge" The same goes for me...if you have recieved a comment from me at any time, and would like to comment on my comment :) please feel free. I feel that comments on comments are just as helpful in developing a good commenting style, as comments on photos are to help develop photography style. If that made any sense. lol
I mean to respond to all my comments made on my photos, but don't always get the chance. I comment on photos first, to make sure I get to everyone by the end of the week, and then I try to comment on comments. LOL.
Everyone keep up the good work, and good luck in the challenge.

Got your comment thanks very much, I'll reply to an element of it afterwards if that's OK, don't want to interfere with voting...

I am feeling really excited about being able to reply to the comments I have received... Sadly I will be on holiday so it will be delayed by a week.

Hey! I got a couple of 7s and 8s. That's just... well... although these are probably the the highest I will get and arelikely an exception, it's so much more than I ever expected, (I was thinking all my scores would be about 2-5) that I am on cloud 9!

I can come last in the challenge, and I will still feel good about my photograph. I really don't feel bad about the lower marks which I must be getting to give me my current average, as I never thought this photo would do well - technically it's poor and visually I didn't know how people would see it - I entered because I really wanted to participate.

But getting an 8 from someone is just... fabulous!

:)

I want to thank everyone who has commented on my photo very much right now (25 comments so far), as I will be on holiday from tomorrow for a week and won't have a chance to do so on Monday.

I will be PMing or emailing each person who left a comment to thank them, when I get back, but would like to say how much I appreciate the time taken. I find it exciting that some of you have seen my photo in ways I would never have seen it myself, or expected.

I have just finished my commenting, all 171 of the little darlings, and am now off to have a shower and pack and begin the journey of discoverey when I find that all the stuff I want to take is in the laundry basket!

Have fun on the next challenge, and see you soon...
