I have been working on this for the past couple of hours and it looks really dumb. Someone please help me. What can I do to make it more interesting?

I realize that, but I don't know what to do to make it not flat. I am taking a round object and trying to make it square

Don't ask me how, but you need to make it a 3D cube, not a 2D square. |

Quarter side view would do it. |

This was accomplished with a Richard Rosenman lens Correction plugin for photoshop. It's primary purpose is to allow the removal of barrel distortion from images, but it's also capable of producing distortion. You can google his site. This plugin costs, I believe, $19.95; there may be similar plugins on the web that are free or shareware.
