I got 13th place with my entry in 'Light' which is my best ever finish in the five challenges I've entered. I got some great comments and my first favourite!

Considering the strong entries I am in some illustrious company and I am very encouraged by the result. Thanks to everyone who has helped me via this site to become a better photographer and to everyone who took the time to comment.

I like the first out take best. The angle and the color really works for me

And this was the setup. The camera was on a mini tripod and that is a sheet of white paper. Looks so mundane when you see it like this I was very surprised with the final shot.



I had about a ten second exposure in the dark with all the lights out then shone this mini reading light inside, followed by a torch and then a naked flame.

Changed hue/sat/levels and that was it.
