| Have only had my D70 for a short time, so I am still getting to know my way around it (a bit like a blind guy in the dark at times). The issue I'm trying to solve is the method of file naming. Every time I empty the CF card, the camera starts over when numbering my shots. In other words, it starts from DSC_001.jpg every time the card is cleared. My previous camera used a running count, regardless of what was (or wasn't) on the memory card. I've looked thru the manual & can't find any reference to image numbering. Can anyone help? Or is this just a quirk I'll have to live with? |

Try page 159 in your manual. It is called File Number Seq. I did not find it until after maybe a 1,000 pics.
P.S. - you turn it on to not have the numbers reset. It is off by default.
