I wish they had this 2 months ago! Not sure if they have these in the stores though.

We paid $1407 for the 20D with the lens from these people

You can now get it there for $1339, even less without the lens.

That particular lens is not the best fro what I have read. I too would rather get the 20D without the lens. I have a Canon EF17-40 L USM and I am happy with it but it is a lot more money

From all reports/reviews that I have read, while the 18-55 kit lense is not the best lense, you will not find a similar lense for $100 (typical additional average cost).

The kit lens is not all that bad, but whether it is worth getting depends on what lenses you already have.

I've found that the kit lens is pretty good for shots under 15 feet in distance...that is, if the flash will fire that far. In good light, it has been great for me at 15 feet or less...and I see no softness with it, or with my 70-300mm either.

FWIW- the 20D body only is $1289 at ibuydigital.com ($1349 with kit lens). We got one for the office from this retailer.

I don't think you guys understand. You can't beat Costco's return policy. They will usually take back anything, anytime, no questions asked.

OMG, why would you ever want to return a 20D?

Ok just kidding, that is an important point, and Costco is very good at that kind of thing.
