Good soft focus or bad soft focus? You be the judge and let me know.

For this shot, I don`t think soft focus helps.
There is no center of attention. |

It's not a very bright image and the large dark area at the bottom makes it seem even more dark. Unless you have a dark brooding love for the person I would think about reshooting with a little more light.

Hi guys. Thanks for your honest critique here. Because I have been unable to take any photos this week, I have been going back through old ones trying to see if I can toss some. I actually found this kinda unappealing as well, but wanted to see if you guys were in agreement. You just never really know if you are throwing away trash or treasure sometimes.
I am now on my way to an outing to take pictures of eagles!!!! I am also going to an aquarium I have never been to. I should have some much more appealing work to share when I get back.
