| I've been tring to figure out how to turn a raw file to jpeg , when I open a raw file , I go to save as , and there is no option for jpeg only raw , tiff and some other i never heard of but no jpeg , what do i do ? |

| Make sure you change the image to 8bit then you can save it to jpeg |

| Go to the file menu and instead of "Save as...," choose "Save for Web." You'll be all set. After you click "Save for Web," you'll see some choices on the right-hand side. There is a drop-down menu there - choose .jpg. There are lots of other choices regarding jpeg in there, too. |

| RAW files open in 16-bit space. JPGs are 8-bit only. If you go to Image-->Mode-->8bit, then do File-->Save As, you will see the JPG option. |
