First, I want to apologize for ruining another topic in hopes to get my question answered.
Ok, now lens-talk. Suppose there were two lenses that were exactly the same, except that one was AF and the other was MF. The AF costs $500, how much would you pay for the MF? I'm just wondering if the focus type affects the overall price of the lens as much as I think it does.

I don't know what the difference would be, but I would always prefer to have the manual focus lens.

really....so what would you think of this lens then:Ebay lens
I now it isn't the highest quality lens, but I want to get zoom lens that reaches 300mm without spending too much money.

At that price you can't go wrong...

As for AF vs MF, I'd rather have an AF lens -- with an AF/MF switch.

I figure I might as well b/c it is so cheap. Plus I've read some reviews about it and they were good.

If I had a D70 I'd go for it.

So between all these, except for the bottom two, which would you suggest? Ebay

Should I base most of my decision on the f/ or focal length?

Ok, I got my lens, so I thought I'd show you a few pics I took!

Both shots were taken at 300mm...
