Thought this article would interest many people here,
basically about Flickr and the idea of 'tagging' photos and sharing them.

I hate articles that start off with 'it's hard to avoid all the fuss on the web about xxxx', and then mention something I've never heard of. Classic 'gosh, I'm so well informed and smart, am I not?' journalism.

Interesting stuff though, thanks for sharing Bob.

I agree, if it's so damn popular, why have I never heard of it? Great idea though, and required reading for all web-designers and those that want to be on the zeitgeist cutting edge.

Interesting last bit: '......pioneer members will complain about newcomers, newcomers will complain about pioneers.........'

Do you think this is a phenomenon that applies to DPC? I think I've seen some evidence of it and I wonder whether problems will increase if, as I suspect, DPC continues to expand rapidly.

The article made it sound like a sort of napster for photos with the big feature being that you can put whatever keyword you want on an image file. Think I'll let that one percolate a bit before I jump on it. Please excuse me, but I think I'll find it easy to "avoid the buzz"; I am inclined to be skeptical of anything founded by a person named Fake.
