Hi guys,

Just an idea.. As there are lots of 1 in great pictures, I think it will be a good idea that everybody who got ones, has the obligation of doing a comment to explain the reasons of getting a 1.

How about a 1, a 2, or a 3 (and even 4's).

Probably, it will be the best idea, but, I don´t know how people accepts that. I think it will be more "political correct" the first one.

This gets brought up occasionally, but the general concensus is always the same: forced comments aren't good comments.

Yeah - this seems to come up regularly. I vaguely remember reading that even the voting guide even suggests votes of 1,2 or 3 are accompanied by a comment - but really I think a suggestion is as far as we should go in that direction.

As David notes a forced comment is hardly going to be a good one, oftentimes a person might end up typing something as simple as 'crap' which hardly does anyone any good. Also forcing comments like this would discourage voting and commenting in general.

I try to comment on every picture I see now. Altho I only tell those with a fairly good score what their score is to keep away from people PM'ing me to explain.

Edit: I thikn if you vote on 20% and score a point or whatever it is then I also think that commenting on 20% should be the same.

I think I am just going to start voting 1's 5's and 10's from now on.

1 - didn't consider challenge or should have been trashed.
5 - average foto with any amount of challenge validity.
10 - Artistic foto with strong techs and challenge validity.

That would at least take a number of the one's on shots that don't deserve them off the list.
