Thought I would just start a thread for just my luck.
Thought if any would like to share your bad or good luck we need a place to put it, since I tend to have more bad than good, I may post more then most.
On January 28th after work was driving home in some weather not real bad, but a few slick spots, on the hi-way. Noticing that all the cars were over in the turn lanes where I needed to exit in a few next off ramps, I thought I would take a different way home, well off I went, down a steep ramp , testing the brakes and slow pretty well, I thought, at the bottom of the ramp was sharp turn to right turning...turning...ut oh no turning over the curb I flew, I sure was glad there was no one on the other side, it would have been lights out.
So off I went home on side streets, it did steer real well after that. Again rubbing a few curbs. I was just trying to avoid traffic. Finally making home, so I could take a peek to what had happened. Well I had just bent and cracked a wheel, no biggy.
That next morning the wife hears a hissing sound, she opens the basement door, to follow the sound, and finds the water heater had busted, so she come and wakes me, so I can shut off the water. Well that day she calls around for water heater and replacement, total cost 478 and extra 68 to bring it to up to code. No to bad about average, here the catch
The wheel for the car I thought, that I could get at any local junk yard, either didn't have or was wrong color. And a refurbish one was 250.00....ugh its a 94 grand prix, my driver to and fro to work, I think not...so ending up buying a full set of wheels and tire, rotation and alignment. The wheels are after market and better than I thought they would look. Total cost this week.
