Forget virtual ribbons, I'm more than happy with 16th place in the BO'04 comp. A top ten would have given me a prize of a 1.4 converter for my 70-200 f.4L.

I'd like to think if I didn't mess up on the border I'd have been on the front page so, should I wait for a top ten place (I wish) or should I give myself the prize anyway?

Personally I don't think the uneven border widths would have had much impact on the scores though the large size of the border overall may have done.

If you can afford the lens then go for it as a reward to yourself for improving your skills over the last several months/ years!

You'd probably have had a top ten in any other challenge with it. Still, a promise to yorself is a promise to yourself, Andi ...

Border or no border, you deserve a self-pat on the back and a new converter Andi.
That is a great shot!
