its not dirty enough for a jeep

I like the photo, maybe change position just a little towards the front end of the jeep, maybe a foot or so

Am not a fan of car shots (and I'm a bloke). I quite like the angle though but think if you could get down lower to show a more intense perspective it would make thing more dramatic.

yep I agree with the others. I think getting nice and close up from a lower angle concentrating on the front will bring out a lot more detail and be more visually appealing :-)

Actually, I was intending to see if I could blend two exposures in photoshop. I shot two different ones in raw mode. One was for the sky and one for the jeep.

The first one, the exposure for the jeep, I 'developed' the raw twice to get two JPG's -- because I liked the snow dark for some reason.

Then the second exposure (for the sky), I 'developed' for the sky once and put that in last.

It was more a test of seeing how hard it was to do that -- and it seemed pretty easy -- although I probably put more time into that one photograph than any of the others I've ever done.

I agree with the comments about slightly changing the angle. And like jab119 said, it's not dirty enough for a Jeep! Muddy or spotless - pick one. A polarizing filter could also be beneficial to reduce some of the glare off the windshield and tone down the front headlights and grill area also.

Here's one that shows both exposures...I really like shooting in raw, there's so much more you can do.

EDIT: I think the main problem I had is how big of a difference there was when exposing for the sky and exposing for the foreground. Had it not been a spur of the moment thing and I used a tripod, I'm sure it would have been a lot easier also.

I'm definately looking forward to trying this out some more in the future though.

Mud, needs some mud. Not too much though, but enough to show some adventure. The front driver-side fender looks like it was cleaned a bit too compared to the rest. I like the back half of the jeep contrasting to the sky, but like skiprow said about the reflections, and the front seems just a tad too bright. I like it though.
