I was looking at some high end glass and thought I'd get some feedback first.

70-200mm f/2.8 ED-IF AF-S VR

The lens's I have most similiar to what you have listed below are; A Sigma 24-70mm, f2.8,D, EX - I love it, it is my primary working lens. I have Nikon 80-400mm, f4.5,AF,VR,ED and it is great for action shots (need good sunlight though). My favorite tele lens is a Sigma 120-300mm, f2.8, HSM, D, APO EX - it is a superb lens and great in lower light conditions. I also really like my Sigma 105mm macro and a Sigma wide angle. Hope this helps. |

I have the 70-200 f/2.8 AF-S VR. It is a little bulky and heavy but the quality of the images are awesome. An example using the lens. The VR helps some, but just a little less than I had hoped for. You still need to hold the lens steady, which can be tough because of its size. It is my favorite lens and I highly recommend it. |

60/2.8 is absolutely awesome. Don't have experice with the other two, but i've done my research and when the buget allows the 70-200 is definitely gonna be on my list.
Also, i would recommend 17-35/2.8 if you need that range. And for universal zoom - 24-120VR. |

I don't think you can go wrong with any of those! I've got the 28-70 f/2.8 and it will spoil you rotten. It's as heavy as a tank, but amazing on all fronts. One thing I will mention is camera balance. This is not a tripod mount lens, but witout a vertical grip, you will wish it was. It weighs far more than your D70, and will throw your camera off balance.
Comfort is something to think about, especially if you are used to smaller primes or that "D70 Kit" lens.
As far as the others, I don't think you can go wrong either way.
