Firest time I have done this. It took some time but I am proud of myself.

Although some are just "nice shot" because I couldn't see anything wrong with them. Maybe I am too generous I gave three a ten.

Share your stats when you are done.

Thanks. I am not by any means a professional but have realized that taking the time to look at and comment on these photos has taught me a lot also. My lowest was a five. I will never give under a five. To many excellent photographers here.

I didn't enter either. Had a shot. Just couldn't get it to look right in time. What do you think.

'urro.

Cor, I've only just finished voting on old&new, and I'm just going back now to comment on a few.

Thanks for making the effort, I think everyone, myself included, appreciates the time and effort it takes to get through and comment on every image.

I try to get back and comment on at least some of the images for any challenge I vote on, but time is quite often not on my side lately.

Cheers, Me.

I think he's talking about us, in the collective sense... :-).

I feel it is mean to tell someone thier shot stinks. To me every shot has potential. And a shot might have meaning behind it for the photographer.

It looks a little under-exposed.

For subjects that are predominantly white, or light coloured, try using the exposure compensation setting in your camera to get the whites whiter, so to speak. The camera sets the correct exposure based on averages. Objects/scenes that are mostly lighter than average will therefore wind up a little under exposed and mostly dark ones will wind up slightly over exposed. I'd start at + 2/3rds, that seems to be about right for most things.

Cheers, Chris H.

Thanks for the help. Good idea though right. I wonder why no one used this one.

Rexo, the world needs more people like you.. trying to see the potential behind things that might need some extra work. That's what makes the community here so great!

Good idea for your picture, by the way.. I'd sure like one of those buttons!
