| I am looking for some help on deciding which camera to get. I need one that would be good for taking pictures at swimming events and also has a good zoom feature. Right now these are the only two that I have looked at - or is there something else out there is the same price range that would be better? |

I liked my s5100 a lot. It has great features and I don't really think it held me back any at all. I shot some sporting events -- it seems to do a little worse in indoor lighting than my rebel, but nothing I could complain over.

| There've been several recent threads discussing cameras in this range ... try searching for Panasonic FZ20 (along with Kodak and Olympus models) which were also discussed or "image-stablized". |
