Just some ideas, after having spent a fair amount of time commenting ;-)

:D It would be nice to have the forum code buttons available while commenting on a challenge.

:D It would be nice to have the forum code buttons avaiable for the photographer comments.

:D It would be nice to be able to sort or filter the challenge entries by whether or not they have been commented on. Looking for that little white icon is a royal PITA.

:D It would be nice if the box for commenting was a bit larger.

:D It would be nice if the box for PMs was a LOT larger.

:D It would be nice if you could change a score while viewing the image without being taken back to the first page for the challenge.

I know ya'll have a lot on your plate, but if any of these could be done with minimal effort, they would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your consideration, as well as for all you have done so far!

I will add to that.

I would be nice to be able to add a challenge entry as a favorite without it meaning that it deletes your comment.

Jon, that part's easy to work around; Comment, vote, hit back button, select as favorite.

Robt.

heyah, bear, it's not that we don't know the work around, we'd just like it fixed so that we don't need the work around ;-)

I had a moment to browse a couple portfolios this afternoon, and had a couple more ideas to add to the wishlist:

:D It would be nice to be able to comment on a collection as a whole, as opposed to only being able to comment on an individual image or through a thread

:D It would be nice for a photographer to be able to write notes for a collection

:D It would be nice for a photographer to be able to define their own galleries, as opposed to having to put an image in a single collection

:D It would be nice to be able to search the threads for specific images, especially when someone else references one of your images without you knowing about it.

Ditto to all of your suggestions - especially a bigger PM box! That drives me nuts having to scroll through 5 visible lines of text.

Not to sound like I'm complaining, I'm not (and I know it's been mentioned before) but are there any anticipated dates that we can start seeing some new features implemented? The Photo Search menu button has been there ever since I've been visiting (at least a year and a half) and it's still not functioning. Maybe it should be removed until it's actually working? I don't know anything about D&L but I imagine they have real jobs that keep them from working on the site as much as they'd like...on the other hand, this is a business too...

It would just be nice to see some of the great suggestions implemented in a more timely fashion.

Again, not complaining.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're asking, you can already do that. Members can create multiple collections and even create hidden collections.

yes, you are misunderstanding, because i failed to make this clear.

right now, you can put an image in a single collection, and you can assign it to two dpc galleries.

what i would like to be able to do would be to define multiple "collections" or "galleries" (call it whatever) and not be limited to how many "collections" the image is assigned to.

for example, i could have a collection called "faves" that would have every image that has been selected by someone as a fave. i might also have a collection called "cars". well, if an image of a car is selected as a fave, i would like it to be in both collections.

does that make what i want clearer?

I thought of that after I posted. Thanks for the clarification.

These are all useful suggestions, and many of them (or variations) are already "on the list" of improvements to the DPC site, which are still "on hold" as the admins finish re-coding the Prints site.

When they finally get to it, I expect a flurry of upgrades.
