| A challenge permitting all who "missed the boat" in past challenges for any reason to show the stunning photo that surely would have brought home the bacon had it just made the contest.. for whatever reason. Title would have as first word the contest followed by reason so we could all commiserate, giggle or realize someone had it worse than we did :)... wonder why I just thought of this...hmmmm |

But where would the cutoff time be? I have pics that "missed the boat" by FIVE YEARS (5 years ago I got my first digital cam).
Actually, "Missed the Boat" is a misnomer for this; to miss the boat in a challenge would be to hit the "submit" button at 12:00:00 AM, 1 second AFTER the challenge closed and the "boat" sailed.
How about calling them "preemies", as in "premature babies"?
