I was just looking at the New and Old submissions. I think I saw some selective desaturation. Is that permissible or is there some way around it for Basic?

Wow, voting for 245 in one seating is not easy. I will have to go back for another pass or two.

If the desat was done using the channel mixer, it's legal. If it was done by masking/selecting areas and then desaturating, it's not legal. Personally, I'd prefer a warmer colourbalance to the shot, since the fleshtones seem washed out, and there doesn't seem to be any main focalpoint of the image, so it lacks involvement.
