I replaced the yellow channel from a CMYK channeling with the saturation channel from an HSL channeling. I then used a gray spot on the rock to restore natural color.

I am pleased with the results. Is channel switching a common photoshop practice? I actually use JASC photo paint shop pro 8.

Too bad I came across this idea a little late for the yellow revisited and best of 2004 contests.
