Further to requests, here's my original vs the edited version of my Architecture entry.

Knowing how many reflection shots there would be I wanted to differentiate it and enhance the sense of heavyweight, corporate might through the colours. I didn't want to lose the integrity of the photo, but I did feel the original lacked punch and interest with the colours as they were.

Edits
> Gradient Map for orange hue
> overlay full colour image with 'pin light' blend mode
> spot mask various areas to bring out high/low contasts
> sharpen a composite layer then spot-mask to reveal only sharpened portions
> final hue/sat layer to strengthen colours a tad

For what it's worth I actually prefer the original, and would have scored it higher than the 8 I gave you.

Short answer: I prefer the edited version. Long answer later.

As shot, it's a great image, but this is an example of where post processing can make things even better in my opinion. On this type of shot, reality matters little. In my mind, you've turned day into night and added almost futuristic feeling. You might of guessed - I like it!

I was hoping this submission would win, fantastic shot.

You really brought out that corporate feel that you mentioned, the original was lacking it.

I also thought that the reflection shows some older architecture and I thought the two blended in nicely. Very well done.

I think your processing was down to your creativity. The ability to previsualize the image with the gradient filter. And I think the processing made the subject even stronger. If I want to say anything negative, it would be because I am f****** jealous and I am desperate for a brain that can make creative decisions like that! Good stuff, Mr. Imagineer.

Not sure which one I prefer, the orginal is nicer but is let down by the white on the right. Maybe I would have just edited something in there like a contrast bumping blue gradient..not sure.

Edited one equaly as nice, but a little too saturated for me :D

I like the edited version better - the colours are great, even though thei're "fake". Your picture looks neat, no visible editing. Thanks for letting me know about the original.
