Had an opportunity to shoot some flowers the other day and was wondering how either of these might have fared in the Bokeh Challenge.

They seem more shallow DOF than bokeh to me. The lower image especially doesn't have enough BG to bring the sense of bokeh into play. Lovely shots thouhg, especially the upper one.

Being very pernickety, the shadow in pic 2 is a little distracting - but great detail
