So I got a call yesterday to discuss me shooting event photos at a local conference/banquet location in town. I recently photographed a celebration for a Marine Corps anniversary celebration at this site. I went today on my lunch break, made my pitch, showed some of my work and now I'm under contract to shoot two more events for them with a tentative agreement to photograph numerous events ranging from 100 people to several thousand (where we will be running multiple stations).
Got back to my day job and finished the afternoon. I'm walking out to my car and got a call from someone who has need of a wedding photographer tomorrow. So in the space of a day I pickup a job for Saturday, already had a photoshoot scheduled for Sunday (you'll get to see some of those pics assuming they turn out OK) and then got a contract for Monday night and a gig the following weekend. When I woke up today I thought I'd be shooting one set this weekend for a young lady. Oh well. When it rains it pours. I'm rushing down to pickup a new Quantum 2x2 tomorrow morning (the store is charging it for me) and then hightailing it out to the wedding site.

...and all I got is $30 from selling stocks :(
That just means I have more of a chance to get a ribbon now that your out :P
Congrats on the expanding photography business. It's good to hear that people can still make some money from doing photography.

Better pick up an extra camera while you're out. Right about now is when Murphy's Law should kick in. :)

I couldn't ribbon if I tried to buy one; too many good, creative photographers on here.
Mick,
Yeah, I'll have 2 Canon 300D's and a 20D available. I'm seriously considering getting a 20D but I vowed that the next body I buy will have to be a 1-series body.
