Why not make a link in the front page of the site to the most recently added pÃµrtfolio photos of everyone, this with a certain limit, say like the last 25 photos that were posted on someones portfolio, so people can have access to this, i sometimes think that the photos on my portfolio are just sitting there looking sad...

This is a nice idea, and you can almost accomplish that now, when you visit the Galleries. The most recent photos are the first ones you see, but they're obviously not sorted by Photographer (plus they include Challenge photos).

In the meantime, try something like what I did earlier this month:

I made a "comments please" portfolio, put 12 photos in it, posted a thread requesting comments, for which I would offer comments back. I got over 80 comments on those photos, and I've done critiques in the portfolios of each of the commenters. I learned a lot, was able to separate myself from those shots emotionally, and actually see what the folks were saying in their critiques. And doing the "pay-back" critiques was educational as well.

maybe just have a link to 3 random photogs. a day so it doesn't get out of hand with thumbs.

i like the idea though and i know what u mean about your shots just sitting there if ppl. are looking around on this site i can be hard for them to every little conor if they don't know everything about the site.

Or just one link that takes you to a page of updated portfolio links? Instead of cluttering up the opening DPC page further.

anyway i think it would be nice to have this. Like if i put a photo up today it would appear there and like when the 25th person but a new photo on there profile mine wouldn't appear anymore, that would be there for just a short while. did i make myself a little more clear.

I think that's an interesting idea! I'd like to see more ways to encourage people to explore portfolios.

Great idea.
Many images are uploaded everyday, so if there's a link that shows all images that were uploaded on the current day, I think it would work really well.

We can add suggestions to the list of site improvements but I wouldn't expect to see change within three days.

I think that this or some variation of this idea could possibly work and I will add it to the list of suggestions. :)
