Hence I've been without one for a couple of days - Just got a new 19 inch crt, and man, I should have done that ages ago - I was getting really sick of staring at that dim 6 year old screen anyway.

Anyway - this monitor is so much brighter than my otherone - I just wanted to know what people generally have their gamma set on - on the other computer I had to crank it up to over 2 to get it to look the same as this monitor does with the gamma on 1ish. Please forgive my lack of technical knowledge here... I'm not exactly on the ball in these matters!
