I have an idea for the faceless challenge but would have to clone something in the photo. How do I do this in photoshop? Also is this editing allowed?

I am not cloning the face. I am fairly new to this website and haven't used Photoshop much. I need to know how to clone.

Read the Advanced Editing rules. [/quote]

I have read the rules it states
"Cloning, dodging, burning, etc. to improve your photo or remove imperfections or minor distracting elements, etc. is acceptable. However, using any editing tools to duplicate, create, or move major elements of your photograph is not permitted."

Cloning is allowed but using any editing tool to duplicate major elements are not.

I would imagine that a person would be a major element of my photo so I can't clone that.

Basics
- Select the clone stamp tool from the toolbar ( on left)
- Choose a soft brush, about 30 pixels
- Set the opacity to about 20% to start with
- use Alt+click to set the reference point
- click on the area you want to clone

Change brush type, brush size, opacity as you go along. You will need some practice to get the results you want.
