B/W, Technical Abstracts, Outdoor Stills (architect).

Flowers and stationary (sleeping, setting etc.) pets don't do anything for me unless technically superior (comp and feeling conveyed) in the genre as they are such an easy shot and the area is saturated with so-so poorly cropped flower/pet shots. Same with Clouds and Sunsets, they need to really shine technically to stand out above the rest.

Street photography, I love Pedro's quadtones.

I also love jjbeguin's stuff...he seems to catch the little things that most people (including photographers) would miss.

Hard to respond... if you view my Favourites folder you'll see I love a huge variety of photography styles.

I do have a soft spot for wildlife photography, particularly of my favourite animals such as cheetahs, elephants and others.

I like bold, imaginative, colourful images.
I like subtle, emotive, black and white images.
I like abstracts.
I like still lifes of real objects.
I like people shots.
I like landscapes.
I like macros and studies of texture and pattern and detail.

Erotic to puppies in a heart beat. That is funny. :)

But you are all right. Anyone that submits an image of Barringer's to DPC must be OK:

Also, your desat submission to DPC of the Golden Gate is very nice:

I appreciate good photography of genres that I cannot do. I respect good photography of genres that I attempt to do. I respond to images that involve conceptual still life, spectacular beauty in nature and/or manmade, and images that capture spirit. Most often those images are presented in black and white but not always. I'm an equal opportunity viewer.

I like photos where the photographer has shown me something the way it really looks, and conveys something of the mood or feeling of the occasion when it was taken. Could be a peaceful misty morning at he beach, a dramatic sports action moment frozen in time, or a candid urban street shot, but I want it to make me feel a little of what I would have felt if I was with the photog when he/she took it.

I think that dpc sometimes values "pushing the boundaries" too high; and that this comes at the expense of high quality, fundamentally correct photography. I wish we would put more value on doing photography well; and less on being different just for the sake of being different.
