I just got my G6 a couple months ago and am thinking about buying the telephoto doubler lens for it,and was wondering if there is any quality loss using them.and all other pros and cons with them..thanks

All add on lenses have vignetting (dark circle of the lense) at the wide angle setting, but is quite helpful when getting closer is impossible.

I had a set (wide angle and telephoto) lenses which I used on the front of my S50, using a contraption which allowed a filter to e attached.... anyway the quality of the resulting images was to say the least 'soft'.

It was one of the contributing factors in me buying a dSLR. I'd reached the limit of what I could do with the Powershot.
