now, as far as i'm concerned, gray days in the woods are most excellent for shooting. the browns and grayish blues really compliment each other. you can also use photoshop to work with the saturizations to really make an image pop.
the key, though, is to have an interesting composition. as i commented in the challenge, your entry had too much subject and not enough background. i think if you went back, under similar conditions, and tried different compositions, you could come up with a nice image. the biggest mistake is to shoot everything dead-on at eye level. don't be afraid to turn the camera sideways or to throw yourself on the ground. go for it! |
