Rotterdam is a fantastic city to visit and photograph if ure interested in architecture
these are just a few outakes of one day hanging around
Comments on these pictures or architecture in general are most welcome

i'm sure it's a nice city, these images aren't striking me as intriguing though. a couple of them have some major noise in the sky as well.
i think part of the lack of responses is there are alot fo architecture photos to vote on at the moment...

Wil,
It DOES look like a great city to visit and shoot the architecture. In general these pictures show sensitivity to the proper framing and context of an architectural photo. However, perhaps the single most important factor in superior architectural work is the quality of light captured, and for the most part these images fail there.
Note in particular "The Three Sisters", where the light is ming from the right of and behind you, providing virtually no sense of modeling on the towers. Basically, the light is everyhting; it is your friend and your enemy both. You have to use it wisely and well.

You didn't include the cube houses! They're very interesting architecturally, even more so on the inside. BTW, the same architect also built these cube houses in Helmond (near the theater "'t Speelhuis", which is also quite interesting), much closer to Sittard... |

actually i heard of them and saw some pics too but never did get too see them face to face myself
ill keep it in mind when ever im near to Helmond
and anyway its time to have another visit at ur beautiful van Abbe museum and that might be a nice occasion to combine the 2
