I've been playing with Photoshop (I'm still some way near the bottom of the learning curve) and learning about creating good monochrome images. I was quite pleased with this one:

Conversion to B&W and other post-processing:


Comments welcome, both for the photo and the conversion to B&W.

Good job Paul,I prefer it to the colour,
would have done well in the candid challenge maybe?

30 second edit.
I tried to increase the contrast but found that it made the eye on the right a little dark.

It seems I am always fated to take a photo which would be great for a challenge only AFTER the challenge has ended :(
