I think a 'War' challenge would be pretty interesting, how about you?
Could be the battle type of war or personal conflict

Would a revisit of the "Conflict" challenge be close to what you are thinking?

I think that this would be an extremely compelling challenge, lending itself to some great photojournalistic images (something we don't see very often at DPC).
As an admirer of James Nachtwey's work, a 'War Challenge' (or as I see it, the consequences of it) would give DPC photographers an opportunity to explore aspect of our communities that many of us are not often exposed to.
Of course, our images would undoubtedly have a hard time approximating the real stuff:

Make it a War challenge, or make it a Personal Conflict challenge. But not both at the same time. They are not the same thing.

Not really. There is more to war and the effects of war then bloody children and blowed out buildings. Billboard signs, children waiting for thier fathers, someone attending a funeral, soldiers in an airport. No matter where we live or who we are we all have access to something that is uniquely related to a war, past or present. War has always been a part of the greater human experience and comes more naturally to some then the act of making love.
I like this idea. Not conflicts, but a challenge with WAR as a topic.
