In October I finally converted to digital, bought myself a FinePix S3000. It was a great start but I'm already feeling kinda limited with it, it doesn't do so well with low light situations and doesn't allow for me to have control like I want. I'm leaning towards a Minolta Dimage preferrably with an SLR body type, I have a Minolta Maxxum 400SI that I love and would love to be able to change lenes between the two. Anyone have any suggested cameras out there?? |

i may be wrong, but i don't believe that any of the dimage series provides the option for changing lenses. minolta has another camera called the maxxum 7D, which is an SLR, but i don't think it's out yet

Nikon and Canon both are far ahead of Minolta in the DSLR lineup. And Minolta's lenses won't come close to either.

The Maxxum 7D is out but you're right about the DiMAGE series. Those are fixed lens cameras. They are nice cameras though. |

Should have said if i cannot get an SLR, I would like something from the Dimage series.
I've read mostly positive about the Canon rebel and am currently looking up info on the Nikon D70. I'm not exactly sure if it's just digital in general or just certain cameras that have trouble with lowlight, or would it be a combination of both? |

The Rebel work good in low light. You get what you pay for. The 1Ds works better. Much.
