Anyone know if a Test Forum that could be used to check formatting, links, syntax, thumbnails, images, etc. has ever been considered?
May be of help, especially to the newer members.
Could also be a home for examples of the how-to on this network.
Could be a non-archiving Forum that say would never go past 1 month so as not to take up dead space.
?
Kinda' like what I am trying right now...
:)

What would be the advantage of this over the preview button when you're making the post and the edit button after?

Bio lines and some formatting doesn't show up in the preview window.

Preview is the preferred method of doing this, however there are various test threads in existence, you could always do a forum search and use one of them.

I'll take your word that some formatting doesn't show up but if you want to test your bio you simply create a new message, place your text/image/whatnot in there and press preview. You can then copy and paste to the appropriate portion of the profile.

Looks like I may have it. DUH.

Fumbling below what?

EDIT: Wait, never mind, you are probably talking about your signature. I haven't had signatures turned on in ages.
EDIT 2: I must say though it gave me a pause. It sounded quite dirty.

Signature line icons. Got 'em working.

Put the links in your workshop and it won't show up in your portfolio.

In as many times as I have tried using the search function, for various things, it seems to search the text of the responses and posts, not the subject line. Is there a way to search specific Forums for key words in the subject line only?

Forgot about that - thanks for the nudge.
Was actually trying to link the icons below in the signature line, which it seems I have figured out (almost).
