Not generally a fan of blurring in the foreground, but I think this one may be working for me. What do you think?

It's not bad, but it has a few things that could be improved: 1) the in focus duck appears to be somewhat posterized in colors (limited); 2) the foreground duck should perhaps be a bit more OOF for this to work, and 3) the duck in the far back left is chopped in half, and I find that distracting in the composition.

Dar,

Same shot without the foreground duck but with OOF rippled reflection would be a true winner.

I like these, have to agree on the foreground duck though.
Nice reflections, I usually have my polarizer on for these type of shots but I like these, not too much reflection, just right,
Paul.

Nice shots, but kind of common shooting a duck in water. I know as i have about 30 copies of images that look exactly the same :d

I like shooting ducks & birds!

Try some other variations such as B&W or capturing a duck walking etc? Anything to be just a little different.

Bobster - there appears to be a haze line around the ducks belly.

cool photo - what's it standing on - some sort of skimmer?

a duck orders some chapstick from the bartender. The bartender says, "Alrighty, pay up. How do you want it?" The duck says, "Put it on my bill"

Are you seeing JPEG artifacting? I don't have the time to upload every photo in my portfolio with a larger file to take advantage of the new portfolio size. No idea what he's standing on... it looked like a frame of some sort at the time.
