I don't know about everyone else but I am really looking forward to seeing the pictures in this challenge. I think it is one of the best challenges to date because it offers the opportunity to display the best that we have without worrying about a particular theme or time limit. It gives us a chance to go back over the past year and revisit the pictures we have taken and would like to display, but did not get the opportunity to do so. I have no doubt that we are going to feast our eyes on some wonderful pictures and get to experience seeing the true talent of many of the wonderful members on DPC. Bring on the show!!!

I'm not hoping for a great score in this challenge, but I'm sure looking forward to it! I totally agree, it's awesome to let us pick out what we are most proud of over the past year :)

Agreed on this being one worth waiting for.

I simply cannot imagine the superlative level of photography this challenge will bring out.
I am one also, not being so concerned for a great score, as what I have submitted is what moves me the most, regardless of how the voters respond.
(I do suspect it will do fairly well though)

This is one I will be displaying on my wall, and has already been DPCPrint-approved for up to 20x30".

After grading the "Where is Waldo II" challenge this should be a real treat. That was one of the more tiring challenges to look through. Good luck in "Best of 2004" everybody... yes even you BradP.

I'm not sure that the picture I submitted is my "Best" of all last year but it's one of my favorites. Actually, when I saw the theme, I thought to myself "Oh, I should be able to find a good pic with NO problem!" Then I browsed through my pictures and realised..."umm....maybe I'm not as good as I thought." LOL Anyway, I'm just preparing myself to be completely humbleled by some fantastic photos. This should be a great challenge.

I'm very much looking forward to this challenge. Partly because it's my third entry :-) but also as everyone has already said, the images should be very impressive. I imagine the scores will be tight! I'm not sure I can wait another whole week. :-) Seems like a long time. This will be a fun challenge to go through and vote on.

I don't save my raw images from the camera ( and please save all the comments on why I should. I am quite capable of deciding what is important to me and what is not) but I found a raw file in the trash on one of my computers that I like. I had already converted that image to a tiff. and it is on another computer. It is due to go in a show next year and is aready a part of a portfolio. I think I will use it. I hope you all like it.
