I'm somewhat new to DPC, so my question is......If I'm not a paid member yet am I not able to post a pic in a thread unless it is from another website?

That's right, one of the benefits of paid membership is 25mb of hosting space here, making it easier to post pictures (and collect comments) in the forums, using the "Insert Thumbnail" button.

If you search the forums for "hosting" you should find many threads with links to many free or low-cost sites.
